Each day, from the first glimpse of a ray of light to the setting of the same, life manifests itself in a spectacular array of colour. Each day a new canvass. The revealed kaleidoscope of colour is, however, but a mirage, as life knows no colour.
Life is too precious, the sanctity thereof too sacred if you wish, to be associated with a single colour. No, life shares its hallowed gift with the entire pallet, only in need of light.
Such it is with human life as well. Human life knows no colour. It knows no shape. It knows no boundaries, be these linguistic, ethnic, cultural, geographical, or other. Our impressions of each other are but revealed light through the filter of our perceptions and understanding. Within the darkness of our minds, we see nothing but our own constellation of ideas, dogma and inclinations. Within such darkness we cannot perceive life – the only view we have lies within the boundaries of our hearts. This is true darkness. For the protection of these selfish, egoistic ideals, wars are being fought. Wars of fear, hatred, revenge, which kindle fear, hatred and revenge – an everlasting self-perpetuating cycle of destruction justified in the name of self-preservation. The darkness of the love of self is exposed to all with eyes to see.
The beauty, the miracle, of human life is revealed only through, as in nature, external light. As the sun is required to shine on the grass, trees and flowers to reflect their glorious colours, so does human life require light that is not from this world to enlighten souls to see the unfiltered truth and the beauty thereof.
Humans, irrespective ethnicity, are not our enemy.
How do we perceive others? Through the filter of our own perceptions and understanding – the darkness of our minds, or through the LIGHT of the SON?
