Statement of Faith

Elohim (God)
We believe in the Elohim (God) of Israel, the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, for He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. We believe in the oneness of the God according to Deuteronomy 6:4: Hear, O Yisrael: YHVH our Elohim, YHVH is one!

Messiah
We believe that the Messiah (Anointed Son of Elohim) promised in the Scriptures, is Yeshua (Jesus), the One who saves us from our sins (Matt 1:21). Yeshua is our Redeemer. He died on the stake and rose on the third day, ascended to heaven, and will return in days to come. Through Messiah, the Gentiles are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel and are full participants in the covenants and promises with the responsibility of living according to the principles of the whole of Scripture (Eph 2:12). Yeshua is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).

Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit)
We believe the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) leads us to follow the Word. We proclaim the gifts of the Spirit, acknowledging that some are for personal edification, while others are for the benefit of the greater community according to the clear guidelines in His Word.

Man
Sin caused man to fall out of relationship with Elohim. Redemption is needed to heal this relationship and is only found through our Messiah Yeshua.

Justification
We believe in justification by faith through the grace of Elohim alone, and not by human efforts. One doesn’t earn, merit, or keep this eternal salvation by his own efforts (Rom 3:20, 28; 4:3; 5:1; James 2:20,26).

Sanctification
We believe that true faith will result in good works, that Biblical faith is marked by one’s actions (James 2:17, 20, 26) and not by doctrinal statements. The effects of grace and faith in our lives should result in the fruit of the Spirit being evident in our lives as we live in obedience to God’s Word (John 14:15; 1 John 2:3-6).

The Holy Scriptures (Bible)
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are authoritative and inspired by the Ruach HaKodesh (Matt 5:18; 24:25). We believe that the Torah (first five books of the Bible) is the foundation of all scripture, and the wisdom thereof is for application in our lives and should be lived out in the community. The Scriptures are a revelation of the righteousness of Elohim and an explanation of the lifestyle of the redeemed community (Matt 5:17-19; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). We strive to be faithful to the complete Word – Genesis to Revelation (Acts 24:14). The writings of the Jewish sages as well as other commentaries and historical writings can assist in providing information concerning the background of the Scripture, insight into language and culture, etc. These sources do not have higher authority than Scripture itself.

Meetings
We celebrate the Biblical feasts, including the Sabbath and new moons/months, in loving obedience to the Word of our Father (Lev 23). As a testimony of the above we regularly meet on the weekly Sabbath and on the other feast days.
