Meet Johan Pienaar

In 1978, Johan had a life-changing experience and became a believer. However, it wasn’t until 2002 that Johan realized his understanding of our Heavenly Father’s character and love was severely lacking. Johan and Hannelie discovered that our Hebrew Messiah, Yeshua, lived according to values and a life orientation that they desired. They decided to dedicate themselves to living as disciples of Messiah Yeshua and began studying the Scriptures to align their lives with his teachings. This was a reasonable and natural step for disciples to take.
Johan and Hannelie became founding members of Restoration Fellowship and worked together to share the beauty and depth of Hebraic thinking with others. In 2019, they traveled to Israel and were deeply moved by the desire to correct the ideas of replacement theology within a community that was devoted to worshiping and serving God. Johan left Israel with the word “Hineni” engraved in his heart, which means “Here am I.” He found fulfillment in serving the body of believers, primarily as a leading elder and teacher at Restoration Fellowship Garden Route. He had a strong conviction to help others live out their purpose in the sight of God.
Meet Christiaan van Dyk

From a young age I’ve always admired integrity, good character and justice. My mother had a huge influence in my walk with God in my early years. As I got older, I developed a deep desire to truly know God’s character and what His Word reveals to us about Him. Around September 2015, I strongly felt God calling me to walk in obedience to Him instead of according to man-made doctrines. This led me to re-evaluate my ways of thinking and my theology in the light of the whole Word of God, which has been a tremendous and life-changing blessing. This lifelong journey to seek God’s face and to know His heart has changed and healed me in so many ways and is an ongoing walk. I’m very excited about what God is doing and will bring to fruition throughout all creation, to the glory of His Name.
Meet Christo Wiese

I am Christo, son of Jacobus Wiese, an Afrikaner, son of Abraham by adoption and engraftment into the olive tree. My walk with the Hebrew roots community started in 1996 with my first visit to Israel and the journey still continues to this day. I am a student of the Hebrew Scriptures and actively participate in Midrash on the Torah, Tenach and BritChaDesha. I am a born-again believer in Yeshua the Son of YHVH with the Ruach HaCodesch as my teacher and comforter.
Meet Jako Fourie

I am currently a full-time engineer by profession. At the age of 19, whilst doing military service, I accepted Yeshua as my Saviour and ever since I have been a student of His Word. I am a keen believer in the power of prayer, stemming from a personal relationship with my Saviour. It is a huge privilege for me to serve Him and my fellow believers in this beautiful place we call Eden.
Meet Chris van Rooyen

I was encouraged to join a Baptist church where I accepted Yeshua as my saviour.
I married Jennifer in 1973.
We are blessed with 2 sons, a daughter plus 5 granddaughters & 1 grandson.
On reflecting back on my life, YHWH has been encouraging me to spend more time in His service.
In 2016 Jennifer did the Creation Gospel course. A year later we were led to the RFGR community.
I am honoured to have been invited to serve with the Eldership Team.
I will do my best to Glorify YHWH.
Meet James Blignaut

A farmer at heart, James is passionate about the restoration of YHVH’s creation. He met Yeshua as a young adult and from then on started sharing His word during outreaches. To James the word of YHVH is a reflection of who He is, of His being painted in words. When teaching, James attempts to convey the message of the Father’s love for us, as expressed firstly in the torah – the foundational guidelines for holy living – as well as in the rest of the Bible. Delving deeper into the spiritual meaning of the torah therefore has become increasingly important.
James is married to Truida-Mart and they have two young adult children. Together they have been studying Torah since 2007 and are enjoying this exploratory journey of learning.
Meet Jaco Malan

My walk with God began in my youth, sparking a lifelong quest for truth.
As the Word opened up to me, I found myself gathering the spiritual crumbs along my path and deepening my walk with Him.
I believe it is our responsibility to seek out the truth for ourselves, to remain true to our own beliefs, and to walk our path with our eyes fixed on Jesus, who knows us better than we know ourselves.
I enjoy equipping and empowering people and sharing life with others I meet along the way.
